Singapore · ACLP-qualified educator · Creative industry practitioner
Lawrens Tan.
Where creative thinking meets commercial reality.
Creative director. Entrepreneur. Educator. Lawrens Tan brings real-world practice into professional learning—helping people build the skills to create, communicate and grow with purpose.
01 / The perspective
A practitioner first.
An educator by conviction.
Lawrens Tan is an ACLP-qualified adult educator based in Singapore, with a professional background spanning creative direction, brand development, digital content and entrepreneurship. As founder of Tee-Saurus and The Branding Giants, his work crosses the distance between developing an idea and bringing it to market.
Through his teaching, curriculum development and digital mentorship contributions at the Singapore Institute of Retail Studies (SIRS), Nanyang Polytechnic, he translates creative and commercial experience into applicable learning. His sessions prioritise thoughtful practice, individual feedback and a useful next step—not information for its own sake.

Entrepreneurship: customer and brand positioning, product-market considerations, business storytelling, content-led marketing, pricing conversations and testing an idea through practical examples.
eCommerce: storefront and marketplace fundamentals, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Carousell, product-listing quality, customer journeys, digital merchandising and social commerce content.
03 / How he teaches
Good learning changes what someone can do next.
The best ideas are the ones learners can put to work.
For Lawrens, the classroom is not separate from the creative studio or marketplace. It is a place to test, create, question and improve. Learners work through relevant examples, guided activities and practical challenges—whether building a short-form video, refining a brand proposition or planning an eCommerce offer.
Generative AI supports the process, but does not replace critical thinking. Training is adapted to the audience, with meaningful support for learners at different starting points.
04 / Selected evidence
Experience you can examine, not simply a title.
The learner and run figures represent broader programme contributions—not 1,344 learners or 78 runs taught solely by Lawrens. The trainer rating is course-specific, not a lifetime average.
Nestlé — Product Photography
A practical workshop using five studio lighting setups for 34 learners. Reported programme TRAQOM 4.43/5 and trainer evaluation 4.57/5.
Carousell — eCommerce Learning
Co-developed an applied marketplace-selling programme with Carousell, contributing course design and trainer support.
